Demian was born into a musical family whose father, a prominent session musician in the Chicago area, played for Chess records and many prominent artists of the day including Phil Upchurch, Minnie Riperton, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, and Mountain. He remembers sitting quietly next to his dad during sessions while the band tracked. Demian started playing in bands at an early age and eventually studied music at the University of Miami. After moving to NYC, he toured as a guitarist and played in many local bands.
Eventually production and composition would be his calling, and Demian began writing for TV and Film. “I was able to take the grit and energy from playing gigs and recording with bands and apply it to composing.” Demian joined the Lodge in 2005 and has won over 100 spots for TV and Film. “It’s so great to come in to a studio every day and write music. I feel like a kid whenever I start a new project!”
