L'amico del vento - Friend of The Wind

An Italian jazz disc from Egea lands in Preludio Music Library thanks to an agreement with Amuse. Its improvisational and experimental character is well matched by its pleasant listening and potential synchronisation with images. It was not born as a soundtrack, but is certainly Music in the broadest and most complete sense of the term: that is, sounds evocative of images, without compromise or limits. The line-up is completely atypical: Stefano 'Cocco' Cantini (who has, especially on soprano sax, a truly unique timbre) is supported by Rita Marcotulli's angelic touch, Lello Pareti on bass, and Mauro Grossi, who arranges and conducts the string quartet.
